In the Beginning… There is the Earth
Description of project:
The Pays de Sarrebourg Center Parc is the largest in Europe. The 870 chalets, 6 restaurants, adventure park, bowling alley, disco, and supermarket receive 400,000 holidaymakers a year.
The geology of the site is marked by a silty and clay/gravel water-sensitive surface soil masking clay marls, and the whole thing has several levels of underground water tables. In this context, the structures (buildings and walkways) have been based onto the clay marls; the design of the roadways required special attention.
